Itinerary

Day 1 |

Arrive Nelspruit |Upon arrival at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport in Nelspruit, guests will be met by their driver and transferred to Bongani Mountain Lodge.

Check In |Upon arrival at Bongani Mountain Lodge reception gate, guests will board the 4x4 vehicle and further transferred to the lodge where they will check into their allocated rooms, and later seated for lunch.

Bongani Mountain Lodge |The Bongani Mountain Lodge is beautifully located in the shadows of the Malelane Mountain range in the 8 000 hectares of the Mthetomusha Game Reserve, on the south western border of the Kruger National Park in South Africa. It is a low-risk malaria destination due to its altitude where guests have the unique opportunity to experience the Big Five including lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo. Visitors to the Bongani Mountain Lodge are invited to walk the ancient paths once used by the San Bushman people of South Africa with over 250 San rock art sites, estimated to be 1 500 years old. This San bushman art site is to date the greatest concentration of rock art per square metre on earth.

Afternoon Game Drive |Experienced rangers and Swazi trackers lead interpretive game-drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles on this enthralling afternoon activity.

Dinner |Guests enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge after returning from their afternoon game drive.

Day 2 & 3 – Mthethomusha Game Reserve
Early morning wake up call |Guests will receive an early morning wake up call from their Ranger before first light, while the kitchen brews hot coffee or tea and prepares cool fruit juices with a muffin, rusk or other freshly made delicacies.

Morning Game Drive |There is nothing quite like the beauty of an early morning at Bongani Mountain Lodge. The rosy complexion of the rising sun makes for the perfect backdrop on a game drive. Morning game drives are planned to coincide with the very best morning game viewing.

Return to the lodge |Guests return back to the lodge where breakfast awaits you.

Lunch | Pre and post lunch allows the guests to time relax with a good book by the pool side, or in one of the many public areas that affords spectacular views of endless mountain ranges Guest will enjoy a sumptuous lunch at the lodge.

Afternoon Game Drive |Guests enjoy an afternoon game drive with their professional ranger.

Dinner |Guests enjoy dinner at the lodge.

Day 4 – Mthethomusha Game Reserve to Johannesburg
Morning game drive |Guests will get their last early morning wake up call to go on an exciting early morning game drive followed by breakfast served at the lodge.

Check out & Transfer |Afterwards guests will complete check formalities and depart on a return transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport.
