Eurail Global Saver Pass

  • All parties must be present when validating a Eurail Global Pass Saver.
  • It is not obligatory for all persons listed on the control voucher to travel together; if only some of the persons listed on the pass make a trip, they have to carry the ticket and the Control Voucher with them. Note it is not permitted for anyone not traveling with the rest of the party to make another trip at the same time.
  • A Saver Pass is valid for all persons listed on the control voucher. Persons on the control voucher who decide to travel on their own, separately from their group listed on the Saver Pass, will be required to purchase a full fare ticket.
  • Flexipass: the date of travel has to be entered in the correct way before boarding the first train/ship, by the traveller, in the corresponding box of the calendar.

7 pm rule

  • If a direct overnight train starts after 7:00 p.m. and arrives after 4:00 a.m. on a validated Eurail Pass, the pass holder must enter the next day’s date on the pass, provided it falls within the validity of the pass.
  • If an overnight train starts before 7:00 p.m. on a validated Eurail Pass, the Pass holder has to fill in two days on the pass: the starting day’s date AND the arrival day’s date on the pass, provided it falls within the validity of the pass.

Travel Report

  • Each time before boarding a train, bus or boat, it is important that passengers record their trip in the Travel Report on the Pass cover (in blue or black ink). If passengers travel without having entered the trip in the Travel Report, they risk a fine and payment of a full fare ticket.
  • The conditions of use are no longer printed in the Eurail cover but in the traveller’s guide. Therefore, it is mandatory to give traveller’s guide to customers.
